In 1905, pharmacist August Fischer purchased a small chemical factory in Bühl, Germany and in 1932 he developed the world’s first ready-to-use, crystal-clear synthetic resin adhesive. It was capable of bonding various materials, including early plastics like Bakelite. Naming it after the eagle owl, "UHU - The all-purpose adhesive®," Fischer’s innovation became a game-changer, establishing his company as one of the leading adhesive manufacturers worldwide.
The iconic black-and-yellow UHU adhesive tube has become a staple brand over the years. With more than a century of history, UHU has advanced through continuous innovation in research, and development. Today, the company offers a complete range of high-quality adhesives for a wide range of materials, by developing innovative products and advanced bonding techniques.
