Leo Patriotis Ltd. is looking to hire a dynamic and organised Commercial Manager, to develop, lead and manage all the commercial activities of the business by designing and implementing growth focused commercial strategies. To lead and motivate the sales & marketing teams to deliver exceptional results. To help the Board to arrive in balanced and objective decisions for the development of the business based on the market conditions.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Annual Marketing/Sales Plan:

Has the overall responsibility to create together with the marketing / creative team and the sales team the Company’s Annual Marketing & Sales Plan which should include:

Company’s Advertising & Promotion Strategy

Brands budgets (Principals and Company’s) allocated to Media, Events, Seminars, In-store Displays, In-store Promotions, Advertising materials, Offers etc.

Sales Targets

Customer penetration

Sales Activities

Other Key Performance Indicators (e.g. winning implementations at the point of purchase, targeted customers/consumers, media targets, etc.)

Annual Activities Calendar by month

 

Present the Annual Marketing & Sales Plan to the Managing Director (where Marketing and Sales Department reports), for approval.

After the first approval, presents the plan together with the Managing Director to the Board of Directors for Final Approval.

 

Implementation:

Allocates responsibilities within his department, monitors implementation and tracks all department’s deadlines to make sure that are met, for the following:

 

Customers & Sales Targets:

Develops & maintains exceptional relations with all the key customers of the Company to ensure that their needs are being met and identifies opportunities to grow cooperation.

Coordinates the performance of the sales department by setting and allocating clear sales targets and KPI’s targeting higher turnover and profitability.

 

Market developments:

Develops an information system to monitor closely the changes in customers & consumers behaviour, as well as competitors’ developments.

Identifies opportunities for new products

Assessing the risks to the business and suggests actions

 

Principals/Suppliers & Products:

Visits Principals and Exhibitions (in coordination with the Board), to identify prospective cooperations & products

Creates and maintains exceptional relations with all the principals of the Company

Has the overall responsibility for;

The preparation of the presentations for Principals meetings

The proper preparation of the A&P reports for Suppliers and any other report needed

The preparation & updating of the product catalogues, the Company’s price lists as well as any other material needed, including the POS & Advertising Material.

Has the overall responsibility of events, seminars and other Company’s activities

 

Media:

Has the overall responsibility for;

The selection of which forms of media to be used to best utilize the budget for the achievement of the set KPI’s

The proper communication and cooperation with the media suppliers.

The creation of good and productive relations with the Media

 

Monitors on a regular basis sales target and KPI’s

Monitors market penetration and coverage

Monitors activities achievement & budget spend

Keeps record of what went well and what not, for future reference.

Secures compliance to Principals guidelines

 

Responsible for the continuous training and development of all the sales and marketing personnel

Responsible for the preparation of the training material e.g. product description catalogues (current & new) and for the proper training of the sales team.

Responsible to create employee’s product training plans

 

Reporting:

Prepares and presents at the monthly management meeting a detailed sales report by segment

Prepares and presents at the monthly management meeting the results of all the activities of the previous month

Prepares any report needed by the Top Management

Clearly presents job status & progress to the Managing Director at the weekly meetings.

 

Qualifications:

Strong management and organisational skills

Excellent project management expertise, Negotiating

Excellent knowledge of the Trading Industry

Good numeracy skills, Good attention to detail, the ability to multitask

Excellent communication skills

Degree in Marketing Management or MBA.
